I have to make a cake for my theatre banquet at school. It's a chocolate cake with chocolate icing. My issue: it looks boring. Any ideas for cheap, easy, and homemade cake decorations?Do you have any homemade recipes for cake decorations?
How about grating or shaving some white chocolate?
How about dusting lightly with powdered sugar and then on top of that dusting lightly with cocoa powder? The combination of the two gives a nice effect?
How about slicing up some strawberries and placing them decoratively on the top?
How about placing whole raspberries decoratively on the top?

Cover in crushed Oreo cookies ... that is a favorite in my house.
