Does anybody have any great cake recipes?

I feel like making a cake. Any kind of cake...I'm just not sure what kind...Does anybody have any great cake recipes?
Stripe it rich cake. This is my favorite!

STRIPE IT RICH CAKE

1 pkg. (2 layer size) cake mix, any flavor (Dark chocolate fudge)

2 pkgs. (4 serving size) Jello instant pudding (any flavor) (vanilla)

1 c. powdered sugar

4 c. cold milk

Prepare cake mix as directed on package, baking in a 13 x 9 pan. Remove from oven. Poke holes quickly down through cake with round handle of wooden spoon at 1 inch intervals (or a plastic straw using a turning motion). Let cake cool for about half hour.

Only after poking holes, combine pudding mix with sugar in large bowl. Gradually stir in milk. Then beat at low speed on electric mixer for not more than 1 minutes (do not overbeat). Quickly, before pudding thickens, pour about 1/2 of the thin pudding evenly over warm cake and into the holes to make the strips.

Allow remaining pudding to thicken slightly, then spoon over the top, swirling it to ';frost'; the cake. Chill at least 1 hour. Store cake in refrigerator.

Enjoy! This is a good summer cake, cool and refreshing.Does anybody have any great cake recipes?
Better than Sex Cake:

INGREDIENTS

1 (18.25 ounce) package devil's food cake mix

1/2 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

6 ounces caramel ice cream topping

3 (1.4 ounce) Heath toffee candy bars, chopped

1 (8 ounce) container cool whip, thawed

DIRECTIONS

Bake cake according to package directions for a 9x13 inch pan; cool for 5 minutes. Make slits across the top of the cake, making sure not to go through to the bottom.

In a saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk and caramel topping, stirring until smooth and blended. Slowly pour the warm topping mixture over the top of the warm cake, letting it sink into the slits; then sprinkle the crushed chocolate toffee bars liberally across the entire cake while still warm. (Hint: I crush my candy bars into small chunks as opposed to crumbs - I like to have pieces I can chew on!)

Let cake cool completely, then top with whipped topping. Decorate the top of the cake with some more chocolate toffee bar chunks and swirls of caramel topping. Refrigerate and serve right from the pan.
Chocolate Sponge cake with Chocolate Cream

Ingredients:

Chocolate Sponge cake: 4 eggs, 1 cup caster sugar, 1陆 tbsp butter softened, 2 陆 tbsp cocoa, 4 tbsp boiling water, 1 cup cornflour, 录 cup self-raising flour

Chocolate Cream: 1 cup fresh cream, 1 heaped tbsp cocoa powder, 1 heaped tbsp icing sugar

Additional: Finely grated dark chocolate, Maltesers %26amp; candy hearts for decorating

Steps: To make Chocolate Sponge Cake: Beat the eggs until yolks and whites are combined, gradually beat in the sugar continue beating on HIGH for about 15 minutes or until very thick and creamy (should have lots of bubbles).

Add the softened butter and cocoa to the boiling water and stir until combined. Fold in. Sift the flour three times onto a sheet of baking paper and then sift again over egg mixture and fold in lightly and evenly. Pour into a greased round 25cm cake tin and bake in a moderate oven for 25-30 minutes or until elastic to touch and slightly shrinking from sides of the tin. A skewer poked through the centre should comes out clean. Leave to cool.

To make Chocolate cream: In a small bowl put the cream, cocoa powder and icing sugar and whip until thick. Once cake is cool, decorate with the Chocolate cream, sprinkle with the finely grated dark chocolate and arrange Maltesers and Candy hearts on the top.

Tip! Be sure to beat the eggs well and fold in the ingredients (NOT stir them in) as this traps air in the mixture making it lighter. Also using cornflour instead of just self-raising flour makes the cake much lighter.
White Cake

(Makes 3 layers)

1/2 cup butter (room temperature)

1/2 cup vegetable shortening

2 cups sugar

5 egg yolks

1 teaspoon soda

5 egg whites

2 cups plain flour

1 cup buttermilk

2 teaspoons vanilla

(For a coconut cake, substitute at 1/4 cup of coconut milk for the buttermilk)

Cream butter and shortening with sugar. Add egg yolks. Sift flour and soda together. Add alternately with buttermilk and coconut milk beginning and ending with flour mix. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold egg whites into batter gently so the batter is as light and fluffy as possible.

(Cut a piece of wax paper the size of the cake pan bottom and place it in pan. Lightly flour the wax paper.) Pour batter into three round cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until done. Do not over cook.

Turn cake layers from pans and let cool. Remove the wax paper from cake layers. After cool, brush crumbs that are clinging to layers gently away. Put first layer on a cake plate and proceed to ice with heavy whipped cream and add generous amounts of grated coconut between layers, finishing by putting the rest of the whipped cream and coconut on the top and sides of cake.

(I think a plain butter icing with a sprinkle of coconut would also be good)
