ICE BOX CAKE








3/4 lb. vanilla wafers


1 pkg. lime Jello


1 c. sugar


1 c. water


1 can crushed pineapple


3 eggs


1 stick margarine





Cream margarine and sugar; add well beaten egg yolks. Roll wafers, add 1 1/2 c. crumbs to butter and egg mixture. Drain juice from pineapple and add enough water to fill cup. Dissolve Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Boil pineapple mixture (juice and water) and add to Jello. Add all this to butter mixture. Add beaten egg whites last. Line a buttered pan with half of remaining crumbs. Pour mixture in pan and put rest of crumbs on top. Refrigerate.Do you know any cake recipes that do not require baking in the oven?
My sister is basically scared of the oven cause she doesn't want to burn herself, so she uses this recipe religiously!





Microwave Chocolate Cake


INGREDIENTS


1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour


1 cup sugar


3 tablespoons baking cocoa


1 teaspoon baking soda


1/4 teaspoon salt


1 cup cold water


1/3 cup vegetable oil


1 tablespoon vinegar


1 teaspoon vanilla extract


CHOCOLATE SAUCE:


1 cup sugar


3 tablespoons cornstarch


2 tablespoons baking cocoa


1 cup boiling water


Dash salt


1 tablespoon butter


1 teaspoon vanilla extract


DIRECTIONS


In a bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Stir in water, oil, vinegar and vanilla until well blended. Pour into an ungreased 8-in. square microwave-safe dish. Microwave on high for 6-8 minutes, turning the dish every 2 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. In a 1-qt microwave safe bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch and cocoa. Stir in water and salt. Microwave 1 minute more. Stir in butter and vanilla. Spoon over pieces of warm cake.





And there is always no bake cookies that don't require the oven.





No Bake Cookies


INGREDIENTS


2 cups white sugar


1/2 cup butter


1/2 cup milk


3 tablespoons cocoa powder


3 cups quick cooking oats


1 teaspoon vanilla extract


DIRECTIONS


Mix together sugar, butter or margarine, and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for one minute, stirring constantly.


Remove from heat and mix in cocoa, quick oatmeal and vanilla. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper.
You can buy a cheese cake dessert in a box. You get it where the cake mixes are. You don't have to bake. Just refrigerate it after you make it!
You can make a Flan that doesn't have to be in the oven.
